About Adrian

I’m originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I never knew anything about golf until the very late age of 24, I was on a cruise to Bermuda and this is where golf was first introduced. I remember the experience like it was yesterday, only because I remember the big score that I had accumulated at the end of the round. The scorecard read 144, but the best thing that happened to me was making par on the last hole. This is when I got hooked and the beginning of a new career was just about to begin. I played for the next three to four years until I became a better golfer.

I got my first break by working at Hampshire Country Club in Mamaroneck, NY, for PGA Head Professional Phil Rusnack. This was a chance to get into the PGM program; I worked there for one season before moving to my next destination which was up the line at Waccabuc Country Club. I was there for two seasons as the Second Assistant Professional managing the Pro-Shop and teaching junior clinics. The best thing about working there was living on the premises, so I got to play quite a bit of golf and the most important thing I started to date my future wife.

It was the spring of 2003 and I accepted the Assistant Golf Professional position at Fenway Golf Club in Scarsdale, NY. This time I got my feet wet in golf instruction to members, while taking care of tournament operations and opening and closing the Pro Shop. I learned a lot from Heath Wassem, PGA Head Golf Professional whose work ethic is exceptional along with being a great ambassador of the game as well.

I started getting involved in the Metropolitan PGA Section, playing golf with members at Pro-Am’s, volunteering for First Tee events; this led to meeting the legendary Gene Borek Master Head Golf Professional at Metropolis Country Club in New York. I attribute most of my success to Gene; he taught me how to value my profession and be the best Golf Professional possible. I worked there for three great years, my responsibilities where teaching, running the entire golf operations and playing tournament golf, which by the way I had my best results as a professional. In that time I had qualified for the Westchester Open twice, New York State Open twice, made a hole-in-one, a Double Eagle, and had a career low round of sixty eight.

By 2007, I became the Director of Instruction at GolfTEC an indoor teaching facility which is equipped with the latest technical gadgets, high speed video and motion analysis. This is where I taught a large amount of golf lessons over a thousand lessons in a year and a half span. At the present time I’m the Head Golf Professional at Turtle Creek Golf Course in Plattekill, NY. It is a beautiful nine-hole golf course situated in the Hudson Valley. I’m married to my wife Michele and have a  5 year old son named Adrian Jr.
